Green-River Utah!

Spring-break, in my opinion, is a wonderful time to head off and explore places you have never been before. This weekend, I was fortunate enough to visit the home town where my dad grew up. Green-River!

It's a lovely small town that is smack between the middle of no where and a huge desert. That doesn't stop it from being a charming little town though.

In terms of great photo moments, it's far far away from any major city lights, making the starry night breathtaking. And bonus! It is less than an hour drive to both Goblin Valley, and Arches National Park. (New posts about that coming soon! ;))

It's a quiet little town that one could easily get used to, having grown up in the city and all, and the calmness of small town life makes for such a relaxing vacation.

Now some background information.

Have you ever seen the Pixar movie "Cars"? Well as my dad likes to say, Green-River matches that story line to a T. See, an interstate used to run straight through the center of town, making it a popular stop for people traveling to and from different areas. But later, they built a highway going AROUND the town, so now it's almost as if it doesn't exist. It's a shame really, because the kindness and hospitality you will find in the people of this small town is unparalleled in my book.

Enjoy a few photos I managed to get of the beautiful sunsets out there.
